Governor Greg Abbott appointed Brooks Bennett to the Texas Municipal Retirement System Board of Trustees for a term set to expire on February 1, 2031. The Board oversees the Texas Municipal Retirement System, which is responsible for providing a secure retirement benefit plan for eligible employees of more than 800 cities.
Brooks Bennett of Round Rock is the city manager for the City of Round Rock. He is a member of the Texas City Management Association and a parishioner at St. Gregory Orthodox Church. Bennett received a Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas (UT) at Austin and a Master of Public Administration from UT Pan American.
